George Gobin recently delivered a presentation on the topic Artificial Intelligence – An Introduction to the staff at The Institute of International Relations, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad.

The presentation covered topics including the History of AI, AI Terminology, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of AI and the landscape around Large Language Models (LLM’s). He also demonstrated the use of ChatGPT4, using a browser and the use the ChatGPT4 software from the Open AI website www.openai.com along with the research capability of using this tool.

George received favourable reviews for his presentation from those present and especially from Mr. Winston Dookeran, Former Minister of Finance, Government of Trinidad & Tobago, who said afterwards – “This very clear and explicit introduction to AI by Mr. Gobin was certainly an eye opener for us, and we were certainly overwhelmed and excited about our future in research after seeing the capability and functionality of using the tools associated with Artificial Intelligence”.
