In this role, he delivers guidance and technology direction to enable Governments in the Caribbean region to implement their strategic objectives.
During the period 2015 - 2021, George was the Group Chief Technology and Information Officer and was responsible for a team of professionals that supported Global Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, Information Risk & Security Management, Systems Architecture, Disruptive/Technology Innovation and Applications for Enterprise Information Systems at the SM Jaleel Group of Companies headquartered in Otaheite, Oropouche, Trinidad.
He was previously the Microsoft Regional Manager for Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Belize Turks & Caicos, and Jamaica (BCBBTJ). He was based in the Microsoft Regional Head Quarters office in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and was responsible for the growth of Microsoft business in those countries along with positioning Microsoft role of citizenship assisting both the public / education and private sectors.
Prior to this he was the General Manager for the Microsoft West Indies regional office of Microsoft Corporation USA and was based in the Microsoft Trinidad & Tobago office headquartered in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He has had the experience of engaging with the Caribbean governments around their E-Govt strategies and consulting with top commercial organizations in the region who are involved in finance, energy, and telecommunications to discuss solutions and benefits around implementing Microsoft technology.
George has been working in the Information Technology field for the last 41 years and has had experience in all aspects of the IT Industry and the management of people and companies.
George is also a Past-President (for two terms) of The Information Technology Professional Society of Trinidad & Tobago. He is currently on the Board of the Trinidad and Tobago Network Information Centre Ltd (TTNIC www.nic.tt ) which is the organization responsible for managing domain name allocations on the .tt domain of the Internet. George is currently a Director on the Board of The Trinidad and Tobago Multistakeholder Advisory Group (www.mag.tt).
He was presented in February 2006, with a “Caribbean Luminary Award” by the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies for achievement and for supporting peoples and educational projects in the Caribbean region.

Patrick is presently the administrative and technical contact for the TT top level domain, CEO of the TTNIC and a Professor of Computer Science at the University of the West Indies. His present areas of research include Applied Data Science, Operations Research and Performance and Pricing Optimization for Cellular Networks.

a) solve local and regional industrial and societal problems (through internships and grants) using the latest research and technologies and to deploy such solutions.
b) provide our young scientists and engineers an environment to start research or, in the case of graduating National scholars, to continue research in their fields of interest and to publish their work (which is beneficial for those planning to pursue advanced degrees.
